Bringing industry to life
Siempelkamp at Ligna 2019. The trade fair appearance centered around “INTELLIGENCE IN INTEGRATED WOOD PROCESSING” and was brought to life by multiple digital solutions.
In May, the Siempelkamp Group presented itself at the Ligna with the support of Walbert-Schmitz. With almost 93,000 visitors, Ligna is the leading trade fair for the international wood processing industry. The technology supplier with its core business units Machine & Plant Construction, Casting Technology and Services has an international orientation and is the market leader in the field of wood-based panel plants.

The integration process was reflected by the use of various materials, the design of technical colours and structures as well as the use of wood and plant walls. One of our biggest challenges market the tight time schedule in which we needed to realise the project. The visual language is based on the contrasting interplay of flat, white elements and delicate black structures.
Staggered banners offer an inviting and open presentation while maintaining the perception of the different sections as one unit. The horizontal elements are taken from Siempelkamp’s logo and provide a frame which stages the products in an eye-catching way. The Experience Room was equipped with touch screens and digital solutions and enabled the visitors to follow the creation chain. Coloured circles on one large display, showing the entire mechanical plant, were used as markers for an AR app, which visualised further information and details. At the same time, the room was utilized to hold presentations in front of larger groups.
