My career began with an apprenticeship as a carpenter, followed by further training as a certified wood technician. Before taking on the position in the calculation department at Walbert-Schmitz, I graduated as an economist at the chamber of trade and commerce. With this prior knowledge, I have a solid understanding for the efficient use of materials.
When creating offers I coordinate with the creators, key account and project managers, the purchasing department and construction planners as well as the general management. Through this interdisciplinary exchange my interest in design and innovation is also satisfied.
The company thrives on sociable coexistence and an open work culture. The company even supported me in my desire to spend time abroad so that in the six months I worked at our Canadian partners IES Inc. I got to know the country, the people and their way of working. During this time, I was able to use my knowledge when planning trade-fair stands in the neighbouring USA.
